Macau Delegation of The Portugal-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCILC- Macau) held its Annual Meeting of General Assembly 2020 at the Grand Hall, 4/F, Macau Tower. The meeting was convened and hosted by the President of the Board of General Assembly of CCILC-Macau, João Marques da Cruz.
João Marques da Cruz, the President of the Board of General Assembly of CCILC-Macau expressed his gratitude to all the members for their support to CCILC-Macau in the past years. The development of CCILC-Macau over the past years has been encouraging with continued growth. They have visited different units and corporations to help members develop business activities in Macau; actively participated in the events organized by the MSAR government to explore opportunities in Portugal and China; and carried out exchanges and cooperation with small-and medium-sized enterprises, etc. Going forward, he expects Macau to serve as a bridge between mainland China, Portugal and Macau and help expand the business network. As the trading and cooperation platform between China and Portugal, CCILC-Macau will continue to commit and strengthen the ties between business partners on both sides and promoting development of Macau. CCILC-Macau also hopes to see more vibrant trade and economic interactions between Portugal and Macau.
João Marques da Cruz joined with Bernie Leong, President of the Board of Directors of CCILC-Macau in welcoming Carlos Álvares, Chief Executive Officer of Banco Nacional Ultramarino S.A. and Chunyan Cai, Deputy General Manager of Bank of China Macau Branch as Vice President of the Board of General Assembly. He also welcomed the attendance of Maria Carolina Lousinha, Director of AICEP Portugal Global in Macau and Hong Kong, on behalf of Ambassador Paulo Cunha Alves, Consul General of Portugal in Macau and Hong Kong. He hoped to see people from different sectors join the CCILC-Macau and make contributions to the economy and trade between Portugal and Macau.
At the meeting, the participants unanimously approved the two additional Vice Presidents of the Board of General Assembly with a revised version of governance bodies, and result was as follows: Carlos Álvares and Chunyan Cai as the Vice Presidents of the Board of General Assembly.
The Meeting also reported on the current work of the Chamber to its members, including the membership status, financial reports, recap of activities in 2019 and activity plan 2020.
